Museums, galleries and cultural institutions throughout the San Francisco Bay Area are celebrating the art and craft of photography.


David Garnick, Founder and Co-Director

David Garnick is the Editor of Bokeh Bokeh Photo. He built his first darkroom over forty years ago. His fine art photography is held in public, corporate, and private collections.

Garnick directed the annual San Francisco International Photography Exhibition and has been a photography reviewer for the Lucie Foundation. He chaired the Department of Computer Science at Bowdoin College, and was a product manager for Google News.

Combining his backgrounds in the arts, education, and production with his passion for photography, he founded the San Francisco Bay Month of Photography, a celebration of the art and craft of photography.

Peter Miller, Co-Director

Peter Miller is an international award winning art director and photograper. He has worked for major imaging companies, including Agfa-Gevaert, Polaroid, and Kodak, promoting their international brands.

Before moving to the Bay Area, Miller produced and curated exhibits at his gallery in Providence, Rhode Island, and founded the Providence Center for Photographic Arts.

He brings his deep understanding of the art of photography and his extensive production experience to the growth of the San Francisco Bay Month of Photography.
