Artist Q&A: Charles Anselmo & Irene Imfeld
September, 2019
Come hear artists Charles Anselmo and Irene Imfeld talk about their work currently on exhibit in the museum.

Charles Anselmo’s exhibit, Phenomena, features large scale prints on translucent Habotai silk. They reveal his take on industrial complexes, urban spaces, Cuba, post–Katrina New Orleans and the derelict military bases of California.

Irene Imfeld’s exhibit, The Same Is Not the Same, focuses on the worlds of plants and birds. Inspired by some of the earliest photographic images of botanical subjects, she joins the ranks of photographers with both scientific and poetic inclinations.
